Greetings all,
Well the age thing cropped up again on my '89 200.... the high pressure
line from the power steering pump to the "bomb" developed a small leak
sometime over the past week or so and I ordered a new one as well as a pump
to reservoir hose as that was original as well and had been "sweating" for
a few months... no leaks though.
Anyway, as luck would have it the damn high pressure line gave out today
and shot power steering fluid all over the ground... a quick tow home and
now I have to wait for the parts to arrive.... SO, anything odd I should
look out for? I've never messed with the hydraulics before however the hose
swap looks extremely easy and straight forward. Will that be the case when
I start removing parts? Other than bleeding the system with the wheels off
the ground I can't see any problem(s) that could take place. Easy job for
a semi-wannabe backyard mechanic in training to please his wife????
Thanks....
