Today i went down to work, and while there i popped next door to see a mate
who works in the motorbike shop there. While i was there a customer came in
asking whos car that was, pointing to mine. It turned out he had sold the
car to a guy who sold it to the guy i bought it off, some 3-4 years before.
He said it was definately the same car as he remembered the number plate.
Funny though, he sold the car with a reasonably new clutch on 220,000 miles.
LOL, When i bought the car the new clocks said 78,000, i though t that to be
wrong and guessed at 150,000 ish, although i had to replace the clutch when
i bought it, therefore my car must be 250,000-300,000 miles. Im not unhappy,
i think its funny, how well its aged, my old 150,000 mile vauxhall looked
twice as bad, and ran twice as bad. LOL, even the bores seemed like new
last year, i havent checked the engine code against the log book, but as i
understand it it could be original.
Which brings me to my next question:
What do i need for a 2.3 nf/ng conversion!! ive sourced an engine with
manifolds, and intend to modify the im to take cis, dont ask why, it just
seems easier. Whats the deal with knock sensing ignition (which i
understand this has) i obviously need the sensors, dizzy, but where would i
find the ignition computer? it is seperate isnt it? the donor is a late
coupe(or possibly another source is a 100). Any info much appreciated
