you need an engine... the NF is the best choice, as you can use your
existing intake manifold and CIS parts.

the NG uses the funky IM, requiring it's "own" injection lines which
were only used on the 87.5 cgt. (ones from a 100 will probably be too
long and end up looking fugly)

either way, use the 4kq exhaust manifold and downpipe (the 5-3-1 one),
its the best n/a manifold around, second choice being the one that seems
to be on all the 2.3's, a 5-2-1 setup.

(not mentioned in your post was your cars model, but I believe it is an
early coupe, right?)

CIS or CIS-E will run the engine fine, Brendan's has settled in *quite*
nicely.

CIS-E3 is preferable, of course, with the knock sensing ignition. The
fuel is exactly the same as CIS-E, and usually has a separate module for
the ignition. it's own brain & harness, you'd want the distributor, the
coil, the harness and ECU, and the knock sensor of course, to use it.

You can always add it later of course.

the ignition computer is usually behind the right side kick panel (ahead
of door), on the cars I have seen.
