Congrats on the car. I had a '95 A6Q Avant, which I recently sold
to a friend at work.

My shift selector light was out too, it can be replaced if you get the
part (probably dealer only).

Was the T-belt replaced? If not, DO IT NOW!!! My water pump started
weeping at about 75K to remind me to do the T-belt. Did them both (and
the idler pulley, etc) at my local shop. Don't wait until it fails, it
will leave you stranded (the pump that is; the t-belt will damage a
lot if it fails).

Bentley sells a 3-volume service manual, was about $250. Sold mine
with the car.
