Howdee,

I'm about to take on another turbo conversion, this time with my 90q and ha=
ve some strange questions regarding the donor car. First of all, it's been =
burned from the firewall or thereabouts. The fire burned all hoses and belt=
s. Melted the plastic pieces and stuff. Seems to have gotten pretty hot but=
the aluminum isn't melted. I turned the crank as much as I dared, so as no=
t to make bad contact w/ valves and it did turn freely, well it did turn, n=
o oil and dry as you can expect. I intend to take it down quite a bit as Il=
l have time anyway. Are there any items that could be unrepairable w/ this =
type of heat? (other than seals and gaskets) What am I looking at? Also, th=
e turbo spins easily, really!
So I am excited about the whole project and I don't want to rush into somet=
hing that leads the wrong way, or causes issues later on. I intend to use m=
y ignition and 034 EFI as fueling so I don't need that stuff from the car.
Any hints or assistance would be swell. Thanks,
Brandon Adams
