Tiptronic question

OK, right now I own a '93 90S, but in the future I'm thinking about an
A4 with the 1.8T. I'm also thinking the Tiptronic would be nice, as the
Twin Cities is becoming the Gridlock Cities. Therein lies an issue, as
least according to APR, they claim that the Tiptronic in the A4 won't
handle the 280hp/300lbft that their Stage 3 kit puts out.

What???

I though all of the Tiptronics were basically the same tranny, and the
A6 2.7tt has a Tiptronic as an option, the A8 has a Tiptronic as an
option........aren't all the "guts" of the Tiptronic the same. Why would
the Tiptronic in the A4 not be able to handle 280hp?
