4000s TURBO diesel???

What I dont understand in this car is, why does it have two radiators? One in
the 4-cyl and one in the 5-cyl position. I know this is not correct, as I've
seen what these cars look like under the hood before.

No, it's a D which means it's a 1984. If it was an 87 the VIN would read H.

The tail is the same as my old 1984 80 GTE quattro. OTOH it does have the front
lights of the 85-87 model.
