warm engine miss

I had inquired last week for help in diagnosing a miss that came on after
the engine was warm.
I flooded the engine on my 87 5000  turbo quattro, and was going to replace
them with new ones but I could not find my box of new plugs.  So I put in
some used ones that only had a couple of thousand miles.  I began to suspect
that it was one of the plugs had a break in it which would only manifest
once the engine was warmed.  So I found my box of new plug, put then it and
voila the miss is gone.
