I thought the British car wave/honk thing was just self-preservation. It
establishes a bond so that when they see you broken down a few miles up the
road they'll stop and give you a lift to the nearest service station :o)
I've owned a Rover 2000TC (1 on the road, 2 for parts), BTDT, got to know
Lucas, Prince of Darkness, much prefer the Audis.
