wheel/tire questions

I've been running Kumho 712s (235/45) on 17" rims, and have found the
harshness to be just a bit too much at times...particularly after I switched
to my winter wheels/tires (urS4 wheels, Nokia NRW 205/55 16 tires). What a
nice soft compliant ride :)

So I'm thinking that next spring I'd stick with a 16" wheel and save the 17s
for autocrossing.  I'll need a wheel that fits over the S3 BIRA brakes, and
a tire in a 225/50 or 235/50 16 size. One thought is to get another set of
the S4 wheels...they look pretty sharp on the wagon.

The wagon, btw, has Eibach Pro springs and Bilstein Sports. The 235/45 tires
are just a *bit* too big, with some rubbing at full lock on the front fender
liners and splash guards.

Any recommendations (ahem!) on wheels/tires? I'm looking for good all around
performance, wet weather handling and some longevity. Dunlop SP9000s sound
good, but don't seem to last long enough. I've been happy with the Kumhos,
maybe I'll get a set of 16s...
