I pulled the codes today. No codes to pull - 4444..
It will start with some "help", and the tachometer doesn't work at
all, except when I floor the pedal, it jumps up and down like crazy.
This is not rpm dependent, I can run at 6000 rpm without it working,
and 1500 with a jumping needle, it seems to depend on how much I press
the gas. Over 3000 rpm, it runs fine and gives 1.4 bar..
I suspect the coil with "accessories" or the rotor/distributor cap,
the plugs were new 10k miles ago, and the plug wires measure just
fine..
When I tried starting it tonight (-5 degrees C), it took 3-4 attempts
with some gas to get it to run, and I had to keep it at 2500 rpm to
avoid stalling. In addition, it sometimes "hangs" on the throttle,
will have 3500 rpm idle. The throttle moves freely (no CC at all) and
the idle/WOT switch/wiring is OK.
It looks like I have to spend the weekend figuring this out.. :-/
