Spacers stuck to hub

I recently used this method to free the bottom spring seat from the rear
shocks
on my '89 200q. 143k + original shocks + Michigan car = lots of corrosion.
Heated everything up with the torch and was able to gently persuade the seat
off without beating the hell out of anything.
