034 EFI, controlling ignition with Haltech IG5?

My intent was to use the distributor in place of the timing pins.  Thus it
would be a simple device whose only purpose was to output a pulse 5 times per
2 crank revolutions.

The ECU would have to also know where TDC on #1 would be as well....

confusing.. the PDF indicates that direct fire is available for 1-4, 6, and 8
cylinder engines only?  And still no mention of knock sensing.....
