If you want to be technical about it and nit-pick, sequential shift is
_any_
gearbox that allows for sequential selection of gears, like a motorcycle
gearbox.
This would include a Tiptronic as well as an X-trac as well as the
Magneti-Marelli
system used in the Ferrari F1 and Alfa Selecspeed, the BMW SMG as well
as many
others, including F1 race car transmissions and many of the WRC cars.
It has nothing to do with an automatic. That's why I clearly specified
"ala BMW SMG
or Magneti-Marelli F1."
