> I believe that I pretty much narrowed the problem with the hard starting. Paul Cole was a tremendous help, pointed me in the right direction. What I experiencing now is somewhere in the fuel system. I can now get the car to fire nearly effortlessly, idles fine. Once I get it out of the garage and about two blocks away, it dies. If I remove the rubber boot, lift the air plate magnetically and let the pressure bleed off, I can get the car running again, (for two blocks anyway). Is there a way to get to and service the pressure relief valve? I believe that because of the symptoms, this may be the culprit. Any suggestions... ANYONE !!!!

I believe (and I'm prolly wrong) that your warm up regulator may not be
giving you enrichment when cold - although your "start and idle ok"
thing contradicts that.

thing is, when you lift that plate, you are feeding a bunch of fuel to
the engine - then it's rich and starts fine.

what is your frequency valve duty cycle running at idle? Have you
managed to get the car warm yet, and how does it run then?
