Well, the owner's manual is stating a normal oil consumption of up to 1.5
quart per 650 miles, which I am far away from....Anyway, the car is soon
going to have a MC block in it so it won't smoke anymore as the MC I bought
for 100 Bucks is brand-new....
The most curious thing about this oil consumption is that I've rarely seen
smoke behind the car....sometimes when I rev it up to 7k rpms I can see a
very small "cloud" of blue smoke behind it but that's about all, no smoke
on start-up, no smoke when letting off the gas pedal but still this
consumption....I know for sure that some oil drips from the A/C compressor
mounting bolts that I forgot to re-tighten well when I tried to remove it,
but dunno if this can go as high as 1 qt per 650 miles....and there's
absolutely no other oil leak (oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, cam and
crank oil seals etc...)
Anyone any BTDT?
Regards from Belgium,
Mihnea
