My coupe didn;t even reach that, was at about a quart every 1000 miles.
Which is a lot.

I never see my smoke, either, but those who get stuck following me
usually comment on it.  I think that since it usually comes at hard
shifts, my eyes are busy looking forward...

The oil burning went down about 30-40% when I replaced my valve stem
seals.  Which was such a hairy job that by the time I was done, I hoped
that I simply had not *increased* oil consumption!  This is a leak free
car, too, so it's all going out the exhaust.
