christmas goodies

activities for the christmas break included shifting to a new town and
trying not to live in boxes longer than absolutely necessary.  apart from
the pain of shifting, some of the advantages of moving to the big smoke
became apparent:

1) saw a new a4 3.0q with a factory-fitted body kit - looked very nice,
perhaps a little like the new s4 will look - test drive pending.
2) had a good look at a porker gt1.  wasn't prepared for the sheer size of
the car.  looks about double the size of a 911.  yours for a mere
$usd1.2mill.  the sales-droid assured me that it could be used as a daily
driver.  bollocks, the thing would bottom out going up a motorway on-ramp.
