1990 A80Q Calif 5 cyl 5spd Air Flow Sensor, 140k miles

Hello Fans,

Hope you all had a nice Christmas.
Quick question:

I have had my Check Engine light come
on for some time after ca. 20 minutes of
drive but was never able to catch a fault
code, even when the light was still on when
testing.  Now, the other day, it was quite
cold and the light came on right during/after
cranking. It happened several times when
cranking cold.  This time I got the code: 2232
Air Sensor Potentiometer fault.

Does anyone know:

1. Is this failure normal after 140k miles
2. What the pn is for this piece
3. any reco on where to get it from (called
several places and nobody carries it -- they
say it's a dealer item)  and what to expect
to pay for it; junk yard is OK, (I am alergic
to dealers)

Brother lives in Germany, if I have a pn. I
may be better off getting it thru him...

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
