Yeah I agree. $50k for a car with a transmission that doesn't work out
off the showroom floor? The car had 67 miles on it when we picked it up,
wondering if anyone actually noticed it or did it just get driven out on the
highway, or did nobody actually downshift enough to notice. The salesman
was superb, totally did not give that impression that he wanted to unload
this car onto us. He spent 3 hours or so explaining every little gadget and
such to us, and then asked me if I could find him a mint 5ktq! Everyone at
Inskip in RI was top notch, the financial assistant was great, real nice
lady, and funny too. So I doubt anyone was trying to flip one over on mum,
but in retrospect I wish we had test driven that exact car before paying for
it, instead of test driving a car in CT and going on that alone. Mum likes
to downshift and she would have noticed that right away, actually trying to
teach her not downshift so much and leave her foot on the clutch pedal at a
stop light, naughty mum:)
First we get it looked over. Ask for a replacement car that has the
same/similar setup ASAP. Then fully paid rental car is required, we all
have different stuff to be doing, plus my 90 needs to be carted to the
autobody shop, but mum needs the 200, but I need the 200... Thanks again
Audi! I hope this works out well.
Thanks!
