4kq shifter linkage rebuild

I'm having the shifter linkage on my 4kq rebuilt (since I don't think I
can do it).  Is there anything I should be sure to tell my mechanic or
look out for?  (BTDT's)  Really the shifting hasn't been that bad
lately, but I want it to be as good as possible before I install the
Blau short shift kit.  The Redline synthetic in the tranny and diff
definitely helped the cold weather performance.  It's virtually
unaffected by the temperature.  Thanks.
