4kq shifter linkage rebuild

It's more annoying than difficult. The part that went bad on my 84
(and the dealer said it was common) is the ball stud on the end of
the selector shaft. It's a small but expensive part and a pain to
reach. When I got rid of the car with >210,000 miles it was still
shifting perfectly.
