Window switch problem?

Just asking for an opinion.

For the second time, in cold weather, I've lowered the passenger front
window of my '89 200Q and it stuck down for a period.

I'd try both switches immediately and get no response.

After a short (5 minute) period of time leaving the switches alone, the
window responds to the passenger's window switch, but, having no guts of
wanting it stuck partway, I don't take the chance of finding out weather
the other switch works, or I that I could start partway, stop and restart
the up-winding process again.

Temps in the 20's F, the first time, in the lower 30's degrees F, second
time.

Is it just the switches needing cleaning and DeOxit or Stabilant, or is
it something else?

TIA!
