multifunction filling with antifreeze

my multifunction sensor on my 200q filled the protective boot
with antifreeze.  cannot figure out how it filled up.  no visible leaks
anywhere.  after draining and drying my coolant warning light in
the autocheck no longer flashes constantly.

just do not know how this could fill with antifreeze.  could it be 
leaking through the sensor?  anyone experience this?
