Well, three (jeez, almost four!) years ago, I traded my
'89 100Q in for a '95 A6Q Avant, which meant I went from
the same 2.3 I5 engine to the 2.8 V6.

Although my Avant had an auto (sticks weren't an option
here), I found the 2.8 to be a nice improvement from the 2.3
in terms of power and "feel". This despite ranting that
nothing could ever replace the purr of my I5!

The '92 2.8s had a problem with the head gasket. Find out
if that was taken care of. If not, pass on the car. Too
many $$$ to replace it for a 9 year old car. Other than
that, they've been pretty good.
