Coolant-oil swapping

    This is not what I want to hear about 4 cylinder coolant/oil swapping.
My car is now misbehaving more.  After a 45 minute highway journey there was
still white smoke coming from the exhaust.  Then I found bubbles on the
dipstick after that drive.  She isn't idling worse or better than before,
always the same cruddy idle characteristics associated with the 80 4 cyl.  I
am not seeing a considerable coolant loss though, a bit odd in my book.
Before it seemingly went down rather quickly, but even after some odd 5-600
miles since last top up it's stayed quite the same.  Though I am planning to
yank the head soon and check everything out.  I am praying it's the gasket,
but with my luck it'll be the head and block, guess it'll be time to buy a
quattro then, or maybe a turbo transplant to give all of you something to
talk about:-)
