If you do the timing belt every 60K, the do the pump every-other outing,
you're going well beyond your mech's 100K. Someone posted pictures a
couple months back of the damage to an I5 engine from water pump
seizure/timing belt spinning, etc. A new head for a 20-valve is way more
expensive than for a 10-valve. If he's happy taking your $$$$$ why worry
about how he takes care of his own ride. The bottom line is he can fix his
own a lot cheaper then he can fix yours.
