Mid-April, I think. I'm going to be in northern NY state for about four
days. I may pop over to Boston on the way back and see if we can repeat
my street drinking experience.

To answer several questions in one email - I'm a computer industry
analyst specialising in corporate IT solutions three to five years out
from today. The trick is to get it wrong less than the next guy.

And another one - yes, I'm completely reorganising my email system
to do some complex (and I hope clever) stuff to support my expected
mobility over the next few months. Sometime this week, a wholly
automated system will come online here. It will automatically
route email according to which of my IDs it's addressed to, where
it comes from, whether it's part of a thread I've been active in,
etc.

It uses a combination of three 'secret' email IDs to forward stuff
to me when I'm out, and sends urgent alerts through an email-SMS
interface - http://www.bulletinmail.com if you're interested in
this sort of thing. It also 'leaks' semi-urgent mail through a
similar system, direct to the screen of my cellphone. And sends
reports on other stuff ...

Essentially it's programmed remote control of the cellphone interface.

As well as the Audi mailing lists, I'm in half a dozen IT-related
lists and daily volume here can exceed 1,000 messages. Some of this
can be automated - offered press releases can be automatically ordered,
etc.

It's in test mode at the moment, and keeps sending messages to the
lounge telling me the burglar alarm is disabled.
