Which new Audi is best, and why?

The car will be very much my car as well, but not my wife's
primary car.  If it were my primary vehicle, then I would
have a manual tranny.  But since she prefers auto, it will
need to be the Tipper.

What you said about the S4 turbo surprises me.  I had a 1987
5k CSTQ, which I owned for 12 years and had 120k miles on it
when we moved to SA.  Its still running strong.  It's turbo
was water cooled, and I changed the oil religiously.  Also,
it has a water circulating pump which continued to run after
the engine was turned off.  Don't the new turbos have this
same setup?
