Or if you want A6 Avant with v6tt. It doesn't look like AoA is going to do
it anytime soon on A6 Avant. allroad is the only way you can get the
combo. The rumored up-coming S6 is a compromise. Although it'll have
better oomph, it will have the added weight of the V8 -- not to mention
non-availability of manual for the U.S. market which is available in
allroad. At this point, even allroad with that trick suspension becomes
more tempting than S6. If you're a mod nut, then it's a no-brainer.
As for the incestuous relationships at VAG, it is at the end. Ferry
Pieche has already said it simply ain't working out because people are
buying VW knowing it's just de-contented Audi. The just-relased Audi A4
is the first step, it is unique and will no longer be shared among VAG
brands.
