$4475.00 for an '88 80q? You sure wouldn't get anywhere close to that
for it on the open market unless it was like Javad's ;-) (Turbo
transpant...and even then your marketplace would be limited.) You're in
pretty good shape really. Take the $4225.00 and start sellin' off the
parts on ebay, to other listers, or wherever and count your blessings.

It is good to keep in mind that if you're paying for full coverage on a
car you dump way beyond high KBB into, you're *not* going to get the
$$$$ back if it gets totaled. You could perhaps get stated value
coverage (for a premium price of course) but you would still have proove
value, up front rather than after the fact.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum, trying to decide what cars we have
it is even worth keeping full coverage on at all...the returns diminish
as retail KBB values drop below 2-3k.

I didn't catch Duane's original post...sorry to hear your car was
totalled. What are they offering for it? You should be able to fight for
high KBB price if it was in nice shape before it's demise, anymore than
that will be like pulling teeth. Where's our resident insurance adjuster
expert/Fiat fanatic these days?
