Ring Any Bells?

I've a been getting an intermittent "check engine light", typically when
accelerating under boost. No noticeable driveability issues. Light goes off
when close throttle and then cruise at part throttle. Pulled the "hall
sending unit" code (MAC14) - 2113 . Problem seems to reoccur periodically,
and yes I've cleaned the hall sender connector contacts.

So does 2113 necessarily point to the hall sending unit signal? Can it
indicate other problems with the low voltage ignition circuit or other ,
possibly mechanical, problems with the distributor? Someone even suggested
a high tension problem, e.g, shorting coil wire, could trigger the 2113.

Thanks
