road rage...my first experience tonite..

A bit of irony here,

I have been taking martial arts for almost 10 years now, and can honestly
say that i havent been in a situation that really scared me or warrented me
even considering using what i know. Its funny but, now i am much calmer
when someone cuts me off or whatever. If they wanna get out and fight,
thats fine too, but for the most part I just ignore them. In the original
story here though, its nice to have something to fall back on if you are
trapped like the lister in the post was. A nice kick to the knee and he
would have had a hard time climbing back into his SUV.

My only recent experience with rage is this...

2 years ago was driving home from my mom's on xmas day. Driving my 86 merc
couger (my pre audi days :( ) and there was a guy infront of me. He was
driving slower than i wanted to go, so i waited till there was a passing
zone and attempted to pass him. He speeds up! I'm like what the hell, is
this guy TRYING to cause an accident? So i back off a bit and build up alot
more speed and pass this guy on the next straight. He actually SWERVES into
my lane! Well, since im driving a big old cougar and i got it for free, im
not really concerned and cut back into the correct lane. He falls back and
thats the last i see of him. About a mile ahead is a stop sign, i
SERIOUSLY consider stopping there and getting out to ask this guy just what
the hell his problem was with a perfectly legal pass, then thought about it
and said, no he might have 3 guys in there with him or a gun or who knows
what. So i just left well enough alone and went home.

Rob

The same goes for a steering wheel lock. Useless for its intended purpose,
quite handy when you encounter less friendly fellow road users. Perfectly
legal to keep inside your car, too.
Mine's a steel bar with a cast iron locking clamp at one end.
