I found a crank bolt that was so loose, just the weight of the cheater bar
turned it. Yikes!,

I don't believe that Bentley recommends replacing it (some one will correct
me on that). OTOH, when I do a timing belt job, and I've done a bunch, I
always removing the old locktite with a bench grinder or a drill with a
wire wheels to clean the threads - I then visual examine the bolt for
deformation, (Which I know is not the best method), before reinstalling
with the correct locktite.
FWIW, I was AMAZED at the timing belt-a-thon (couple a years ago at Chris
Miller's house) how loose some of the crank bolts were - I just leaned on a
2 foot 1/2 inch breaker bar to loosen the bolts on three cars!
