    No, I know it will not work installed the other way from an expiriment I did, it will start opening around 9 psi.  There is no way that equal boost coming thru a 3mm opening can keep a valve closed with the same amount of PSI coming thru a 25mm opening on the other side of the valve.  The torque differential is too great.  The spring is really the only thing that can keep the valve shut when installed incorrectly, the small amount of force exserted by the 3mm vacuum line does not help keep the valve closed, but opens it under vacuum conditions.

Yep, you're right Javad. I did some more looking and indeed the way 
you describe it is the usual way they're installed. I'd tend to think 
though that with a properly installed manifold vacuum/boost source 
that it could work the other way too, and probably open quicker on 
throttle lift. Perhaps the Dahlback car has a huge throttle body, and 
experiences almost no drop from manifold to bypass valve?
