I like the shot of the speedo @ 100 mph, tach @ 6k (redline 7k), *then* he
hits the big red nitrous button and whoosh, accelerates to "over 140mph" to
outrun the chopper. In what gear? The producer also admits in the features
that the aqueduct scenes were speeded up, as the drivers were having great
difficulty exceeding 60mph with all the puddles and mud. Unlike in the
Blues Brothers (1980) where they really were going ~120mph under the el in
downtown Chicago. Not in an Audi, though.
Yes, I will buy a movie just for sound effects or a good car chase.
