Hi Robert,

A week after I bought my first quattro (1984 80q) we had some very strong winds
in Swansea, some roof felt made it's way down my windscreen and across the
bonnet, not a terribly pretty sight.
I also borrowed my Dads Freelander for a few months whilst his leg was in
plaster after a climbing accident. Came back after a weekend away to find the
bonnet, both wings and front doors covered in mud and scratches. There's so
much room under the bonnet on top of the 1.8 K series that a local cat got
under to sit in the warm (hairs on the soundproofing gave it away). The local
stray dog got a smart idea into it's head to try and dig the cat out... Dad
wasn't amused! 300 quid to respray the bonnet. I have a few pictures somewhere
if you want to feel better about your scratches?
Cherio,
Graham.
