My apologies - I have had the opportunity since I wrote my reply, 
to more thoroughly drill my source. So I no longer dispute your 
assertions. Fact is that given the money, you can bring in any car 
you want and get a full title including the infamous Porsche 959, 
S8, RS4. No one may ant to service it, and you may have problems 
reregistering if the owner does not keep the registration current 
because the VIN will not show up on the title search.
