Headliner "tough love"

Nick asked if anyone had replaced a headliner... I've taken a
different tack to solve the "curtain over the rear window" problem.

I figure that I can live with a few bubbles in the headliner as long
as it's not hanging down in back - so I bought a half-dozen 3/8"
V-head metal screws and trim rings. I screwed the headliner up to
the backing material right across the head recess above the rear
seat. That backing material is HARD, too.

But this holds the headliner up very nicely, it has been that way for
six months, no one has complained, and I figure that if/when I
actually replace the headliner, the six tiny holes in the backing
material won't matter. Total cost, about $1.
