overheated 4kq, new moter needed? New to list :-)

Thank you for your reply, it is the middle of winter here (northern vermont) 
so I will probably wait until it is a little warmer to start to work on it.
How should I check the deck to see if the block warped? jIs this something I 
can do myself, or should a shop do it? and can it be done with the motor in 
the car?
