I missed the original post so if this isn't relevant, delete now.

My A4's airbag light came on a while ago and the dealer's service
dude told me AoA requires them to clean & dielectric grease all
the electrical connections.  Only then, if it comes on a 2nd
time, will they go further-- so if your car is nearing end of
warranty, you'd better hope the 2nd incident happens before it's
too late.

(In my case, they replaced the passenger seat airbag.)
