Great description Steve, I like yours way better :-)
A 'V' is acutually the perfect way to describe the device.  I know what you
mean about how something with so much "play" can take so much torque without
destroying itself under load.  One other thing of note:  It seemed that at
least on the CV I took apart the outer joint had way more movement in it
than the inner joint.  Is this correct?  Why is this so:  I didn't have a
chance to take apart the outer joint and compare it to the inner joint...
