Hmmm... FWIW, Derek Bell has been involved with Audi (UK and now NA) for
quite a number of years and keeps an A8 in the UK and drives a new S4 in
the US. His driving credentials are legendary. Mike Galati was the
reigning WC Touring driver's points champion when he moved into the Audi
S4 and made a shift from a *FWD* Accura Integra RS (Real Time Racing
team) to the AWD quattro.

I was at the Long Beach GP when the 1988 Trans Am 200 quattro made it's
debut and that weekend Hans and Hurley had no more experience driving
the 200q TA car than Derek and Mike did going into this season. To even
imply that either of them would have done a better job driving would get
quite a laugh from either one of them.

The 2000 season for Audis in North American motorsports was perhaps the
best in the marque's history and the Champion Audi Sport NA team was
very much a part of it with Galati's runner up in driver's points
finish.
