AWD in racing

I've not driven a CVT car, but most snowmobiles are CVT.  This allows them
to keep the smallish 2 stroke engines in their power band more effectively
than any other transmission.

It _is_ disconcerting to drive a CVT snowmobile.  I'll be interested to see
how they react in an automobile.  My sense is that they might do pretty well
accelerating, and flat out.  I would imagine a standard manual shift is hard
to beat in the twisties.
