I have an idea.

How about a form or interface of some sort, that would allow 
subscribed listers who are reading posts from the archive site, to 
reply to a thread without having to copy and paste into their email 
client?  You could insert your text into the box above or below the 
quoted text (also in the box), for example.

It would only help people browsing and responding to threads, like 
I'm doing lately.
