Fast idle on coupe GT

Granted, I'm in Florida, but when the temperature drops below 65F, it takes my 87.5 coupe about five minutes for the idle to come down from 1800 rpm. Even if I jab the gas, it still takes about that long for it to warm up enough. Is that normal? What should I be looking at/testing on the car?
