You would have expected me to reply here, so I thought I'd best not
disappoint you... :-)

The overall shape of the SCX 90q is excellent, though I admit that both my
examples (one the US IMSA car, the other a replica of the car Rinaldo
Capello drove in the Italian championship) are somewhat shoddily made too.
As there aren't too many alternatives for the SCX model if you want the
IMSA 90q in your collection, I'm glad that it looks very good indeed.
Someday, I might even try out these cars on an SCX track.
They come up for auction on eBay regularly, BTW.

A propos Audi models (though not quattros here)- the excellent 1:43 '70s
Audi 100 Coupe S model discussed on the list recently turns out to be made
by Minichamps (no big surprise here, as they're de facto choice for Audi
when it comes to 1:43). They've managed to capture the beautiful shape of
the original very well indeed, right down to the wheels. The only colour
I've seen yet is the one I think looks best on the Coupe S' shape: medium
blue metallic. For US listers, perhaps www.ewacars.com can help you out if
you want one of these. As someone who's been looking for a Coupe S scale
model for years, you can bet I'll snap one up as soon as I come across it.
The only other decent model of this car, rare hand-builts aside, is the
1:43 Schuco model. That's NLA since the '70s and if you can find one at a
swapmeet here, expect to pay something like $175...

Two 1:1 Audis and 200+ small ones.
