Servotronic has nothing at all to do with pumps ... the rack is different,
and includes some sort of electrohydraulic actuator and a control module to
adjust the boost based upon the speed of the vehicle.  It should be possible
to modify the controller to provide whatever level of assist you desire ...
be advised however that disconnecting the servotronic completely will result
in the amount of assist that was intended for 100MPH+ speeds.  From the
documents I have the assist is controlled by a current ... so it should be
possible to apply a fixed amount of current to the rack to give whatever
fixed assist you prefer ...

I happen to like the way the system is "tuned" on the '911 V8Q ... the car
is easy to steer in slow speed maneuvers and IMO is not overboosted when
driving on the freeway.
