Dead climate control ('86 5TQ)

On my BiL's car some sort of extended high current event cooked the contacts
in a connector behind the dash ... it was a circular one that had something
like 12 connections.

If the fuses are OK then you need to start poking around the A/C Programmer
(behind the glovebox with a voltmeter.  The programmer regulates the +12v
down to +5v for the head ...
