Midrange acceleration woes

All,
Thanks to the list I have my 4kq running! The tdc was off 180.
Now I have the midrange slowness. It is like dropping a full gear and two on 
hills. If my timing belt was off a notch, would it run great at low or very 
high rpm? My whole rpm range is slow, but the 0-2000 and 4000-4500 seem 
normal.

(I will check duty cycle)
